The South Australian Government has introduced a new rebate to help make fertility treatment more accessible from 1 July 2026.

What is the rebate?
The South Australian Government fertility rebate is designed to reduce the cost of IVF and related services.
Eligible patients may receive:
- $2,000 rebate for fertility treatment
- $250 rebate for pre-IVF fertility testing
This can significantly reduce out-of-pocket costs for treatment.
Who may be eligible?
You may be eligible if you:
- Live in South Australia
- Receive treatment from a registered provider such as Repromed
- Have out-of-pocket costs
- Start treatment from 1 July 2026
And meet one of the following:
- Hold a Health Care Card
- Receive Family Tax Benefit
- Have a household income of $180,000 or less
The rebate may be available for up to two IVF cycles.
